Job Summary
Through an understanding of Human Resources services, expertise in HR systems and a working knowledge of KS’ policies, practices and service delivery model, assists in bridging the needs of functional users with the technical capabilities of HR systems. Supports development and maintenance of Workday reporting tools and dashboards enterprise-wide.Utilizes technology tools to exceed customer satisfaction expectations and increase operational efficiency and effectiveness. Performs a variety of day-to-day administration of HR technology, data & analytics functions ensuring data integrity.
Essential Responsibilities
System Maintenance/Foundation Support
Collaborate with human resource and business partners to determine and document business requirements and functional specifications.
Research options for solutions to technical issues, assessing impact to business process and cross-functional areas.
Support all phases of testing.
Execute Workday configuration changes in collaboration with the Senior Analyst.
In partnership with the Information Technology Division,supports Workday system security
Supports changes to organizational structure (positions, supervisory organizations and other organizational hierarchies)and data in Workday
Manages day-to-day business process and system configuration.
Provides support for periodic system upgrades byanalyzing new functionality for impacts.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Collect and maintain data related to the employee life cycle (from recruiting to exit).
Support data analysis to identify trends, themes, predictions and key learning.
Elicit requirements and develops report on HR information as requested. Support report writers with troubleshooting and training.
Extracts historical information from databases containing legacy data.
Maintain a variety of reports and queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools, to support ongoing customer needs.
Assists in activities related to extraction and consolidation of information from hard copy paper files and legacy record keeping systems.
Projects/System Implementations
Assist in gathering specifications, monitoring development, and ensuring successful implementation of new or redesigned systems, reports, and procedures for HR users.
Supports implementation of new HR systems and added modules.
Process Improvement and Issue Resolution
Collaborate with HR functional units to determine feasibility of changes to optimize capability of HR systems
Keep abreast of changes and trends in HR technology, Workday, data & analytics
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications -An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed.
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Human Resources or related field.
Minimum three years of experienceusing automated and integrated Human Resource Information Systems, with at least two years supporting an HRIS.
One year of experience with Workday, including understanding of business process configuration required.
Experience in Workday reporting.
Knowledge of Workday configurable security.
Expanded knowledge in information systems applications, designs and computer platforms (i.e. relational databases, report writing, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation applications, organizational charts, web tools, etc.)
Strong analytical and listening skills to understand review and recommend changes to existing processes.
Ability to develop and maintain integrated systems which provide optimum workflow effectiveness and efficiency to support HR’s goals and objectives.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and develop a working relationship with a variety of audiences (internal and external to the Division and organization) and in multiple learning environments (individual, small and large group).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required to ensure data integrity, handle multiple and competing deadlines and compliance to policies, procedures and guidelines.
Working understanding of software licensing contracts, standard fee schedules and negotiation.
Ability to think creatively to resolve challenges and develop solutions.
Strong working knowledge of Human Resources practices and Wage and Hour Law.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of SQL.
Workday implementation experience.
Experience in creation of Workday dashboards
Familiarity with Success Factors.
Human Resources generalist experience.
Work experience in an educational environment.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Frequently sits, perform desk-based computer tasks and grasp light or fine manipulation, talk and hear.
Occasionally lifts and/or carry, push and/or pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
Rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach or work above shoulder, or grasp forcefully.
Working Conditions (including Environmental Conditions)
This position may involve traveling to various locations, including neighbor islands to conduct business.
Work is conducted in an office/school environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces.
Work is typically conducted Monday through Friday at normal business hours but evening and weekend hours are often required to meet goals and objectives
