Our team of benefits specialists is deeply committed to providing our customers with the stability and security they deserve, reflecting our mission to create a world where work truly empowers a better life.Here's what you'll do day-to-day:Own Customer Benefits Requests: Take full ownership of customer enrollment requests, managing them from start to finish while providing regular updates throughout the enrollment process.Commit to a Full-Time Schedule: Work a full-time, 40-hour workweek within our established hours of operation.Maintain Quality Standards: Consistently meet Gusto's quality and productivity benchmarks, ensuring superior customer service and continuous performance improvement.Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with fellow advocates and cross-functional teams to share insights and influence product development based on customer feedback.Deliver Outstanding Service: Leverage a "search first" approach, thoroughly exploring internal resources to resolve customer inquiries independently before escalating for support.Develop Problem-Solving Skills: Expand your critical thinking and subject matter expertise to tackle increasingly complex customer questions.Stay Current: Stay informed about new products, features, and updates, ensuring you can effectively communicate changes to customers and provide a seamless experience.Adapt During Peak Periods: Demonstrate flexibility during high-demand times (December through March), which may include weekend overtime and limited time-off availability, to support small business owners during their most critical season.Here's what we're looking for:Experience: You have 2 - 4 years of experience within the call center, technology, retail, and hospitality space and are seeking a new challenge.
Highly preferred, up to 2 years experience in the Benefit space and gusto-brokered benefits.Technical Ability: You must feel comfortable working with multiple and perhaps new technologies in a digital-first environment (tools such as HIPPO, Alegeus, PANDA, Salesforce, Slack, Confluence, NICE Workstation are used often).
You will navigate multiple digital systems and use customer data to inform decisions.Collaborative: A consummate teammate, ready to wear multiple hats, inspire those around you, and work collectively while priding yourself in maintaining a professional brand and image.Accountable: A proactive problem solver with incredible critical thinking skills, comfortable with a role heavy in customer interaction.

Shortcuts should never be taken.Our cash compensation range for this role is $20.67/hr to $23.56/hr in Denver.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience and expertise, and may vary from the level and amounts listed above.Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City.
Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role).When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we.
