Vengoal, is implementing a multi-year program to support and strengthen the capacity of local NGOs in the Northern Andean region to provide quality maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) services and improve maternal health knowledge, practices and outcomes, neonatal and infant quality in indigenous, mining or mining-affected communities. Provides coordination support and oversight to administrative, logistics, finance, human resources, and procurement functions and priorities, ensuring coordination between the project team and operations and support units in Vengoal. Conduct periodic visits to local partners and project implementation sites to assess progress and address any issues.
This position is open to Venezuelan resident and citizen only and will be based in Caracas, Venezuela. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in field program management, intermediate. Knowledge of donor regulations and procedures. Demonstrated experience in project management and coordination. Demonstrated ability to lead a technical team in two or more of the following areas: MNCH, SBC, Nutrition, MEAL. Experience in proposal development, reporting, strategic partnerships, project design, project management, and monitoring and evaluation. Experience in partner training, staff development, coaching and mentoring, as well as team building and strategic planning initiatives. Experience using MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), web conferencing applications, information management systems and knowledge sharing networks. Knowledge of spoken and written english.
