This leadership role will oversee three large box Marriott assets totaling nearly 1,600 rooms and >$100M in annual revenue.Responsibilities:Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues, including the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements, cash flow statements, management of receivables, payables, cash balances, control mechanisms, and timely deposits of all funds.Monitor hotel revenues and expenses, ensuring accurate recording according to Highgate Hotels guidelines.
Monitor and control the Hotel's cash flow and operating forecast.Create annual budgets and perform monthly variance analysis.
Investigate variances and offer practical improvement strategies to management.Ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and operational taxes.
Assist management in enforcement of compliance.Analyze financial data and operations to advise management on maintaining financial objectives.Comply with Standard Accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for finance and accounting operations.Review and approve all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations, in a timely manner.Establish and audit internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, assets, keys, payroll, and employee records.Coordinate and complete internal and external financial audits, including working with CPA firms and providing requested information promptly.Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff, including coaching and counseling.Maintain compliance with Highgate Hotels' standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operation.Prepare all required financial reports, meeting deadlines and standards.Develop budgets, 5-year plans, and capital plans annually.Interact with Executive Committee to ensure property operations are on track.Monitor report deadlines and hotel daily operations reports.Execute other special projects as assigned.Qualifications:At least 5 years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience.Prior Control or Director of Finance experience, preferably at a premium-branded Hotel.Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.Supervisory experience with at least 2 employees.Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, word processing, and hotel-specific systems.Ability to work long hours sometimes.A warm, friendly demeanor at all times.Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and guests.Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.Participate in M.O.D.
