Job Title: Labor and Delivery Manager (Registered Nurse)Location: NevadaDepartment: Labor & DeliveryReports To: Director of Nursing / Chief Nursing OfficerSchedule: Full-time, ExemptPosition Summary:The Labor and Delivery Manager (Registered Nurse) is responsible for the 24-hour management of the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring that patient care consistently meets or exceeds established clinical standards.
This role oversees daily operations, staffing, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety while fostering a supportive, team-oriented environmentKey Responsibilities:Lead and manage clinical and administrative operations of the Labor and Delivery unitEnsure the provision of high-quality, age-appropriate care in compliance with regulatory and organizational standardsSupervise nursing staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, and schedulingCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support positive maternal and neonatal outcomesOversee staffing plans and ensure 24/7 coverage of the unitPromote and implement quality improvement initiativesMaintain readiness for audits, inspections, and accreditation requirementsEducation Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursingBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) requiredExperience Requirements:Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience requiredOne (1) to two (2) years of progressive management or leadership experience requiredLicenses & Certifications:Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of NevadaCurrent ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certificationCurrent NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certificationCurrent BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificationAdditional Requirements:Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served in the Labor and Delivery unitBenefits Highlights:Challenging and rewarding work environmentComprehensive education and training centerCompetitive compensation and generous paid time offExcellent medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans401(k) with company match and discounted stock planCareer advancement opportunities within VHS and UHS subsidiaries
