This position is responsible for understanding fundamental game design and must be able to successfully perform all requirements for a Mathematician position in addition to the requirements listed below in Major Accountabilities.ResponsibilitiesIndependently produce math documentation and data to support game designs.Build working math prototypes using a proprietary C# math tool.Create PAR sheets with theoretical calculations for regulatory and customer use.Proactively identify and resolve mathematical issues with minimal guidance.Communicate design parameters clearly and contribute to iterative improvements based on feedback.Mentor team members and train new mathematicians on tools and processes.Collaborate with engineers to verify model accuracy via simulations and prize force analysis.Analyze statistical performance of games and present findings to support game design.Support 3rd-party math design as needed.Conduct industry research via casino visits, publications, trade shows, and fieldwork.Ensure math models comply with all jurisdictional and internal regulatory standards.Adapt to new regulations and update math design processes accordingly.Communicate with regulators or clients to address compliance or math-related inquiries.Align with R&D's math vision and apply it to specific game requirements with some guidance.Deliver accurate, well-formatted documentation for QA and regulatory approval.Consider player experience when designing to maximize engagement and entertainment.Complete assigned tasks independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.Assist with math tool development and complete related C# or Excel projects on time.Anticipate and communicate potential timeline issues to maintain project schedules.Collaborate cross-functionally with other Games R&D teams.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with a strong foundation in statistics and probability.3–5 years of relevant experience in the gaming industry required; professional programming experience is highly desirable.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, at a professional level.Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical documentation and regulatory materials.Must be eligible for and able to maintain a gaming license.Willingness and ability to gain deep knowledge of slot game mechanics.Proficiency in C# is essential for this role.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesGambling Facilities and Casinos
