Overview
Our client is seeking a committed and high-performing medical doctor with an interest in Occupational Medicine to join our growing remote clinical team on a self-employed basis. The ideal candidate will be trained to the necessary standards to deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational health assessments for NHS and private-sector clients in the United Kingdom. This is a full-time, self-employed remote position (40 hours per week), with opportunities for professional development, structured mentoring, and support towards UK-recognized accreditation and GMC registration.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct remote occupational health consultations, including management referrals, pre-employment assessments, fitness-for-work evaluations, and health surveillance.
- Produce accurate, clear, and evidence-based clinical reports aligned with UK occupational health standards.
- Provide expert advice on workplace health, rehabilitation, and reasonable adjustments.
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation in accordance with GDPR, confidentiality, and internal governance requirements.
- Participate in clinical governance meetings, quality reviews, and continuous professional development activities.
- Contribute to improving consistency, efficiency, and quality across clinical processes.
Contract Type and Remuneration
- Self-employed, full-time remote position (40 hours per week).
- Working hours strictly aligned with UK business hours.
- Base Fee: USD 1,500 – 1,800 per month (depending on experience and performance).

- Financial and administrative support towards the Diploma in Occupational Medicine.
- Guidance and assistance with General Medical Council (GMC) registration.
- Mentorship and clinical supervision from experienced UK Occupational Health specialists.
Performance-Based Bonus Structure
- Performance Area: Productivity | Metric: 250+ number of completed consultations and reports per month | Bonus Potential (per month): USD 500
- Performance Area: Quality & Accuracy | Metric: Consistent compliance with internal quality-control standards | Bonus Potential (per month): Up to USD 150
- Performance Area: Attendance & Timeliness | Metric: Attendance, punctuality, and on-time report submission | Bonus Potential (per month): Up to USD 300
- Performance Area: Client Satisfaction | Metric: No client complaints and positive internal feedback | Bonus Potential (per month): Up to USD 100
Maximum potential bonus: up to USD 1,050 per month. Bonuses are assessed and paid every three months, subject to performance reviews and consistent fulfilment of the criteria described.
Person Specification
- Essential Criteria
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with full license to practice in Venezuela.
- Excellent written and spoken English, ideally with British-English proficiency.
- Demonstrable understanding of occupational health principles (fitness for work, rehabilitation, health surveillance).
- Excellent interpersonal and report-writing skills.
- To demonstrate access to a reliable internet connection, back-up electricity supply (UPS or generator), a quiet workspace, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and continuous learning.
- Desirable Criteria
- Experience in Occupational Medicine, nationally or internationally.
- Prior exposure to UK or international Occupational Health settings.
- Knowledge of UK HSE, SEQOHS, and clinical governance standards.
- Experience with electronic OH systems (e.g. Cohort, EOPAS, or equivalent).
- Interest in AI-driven healthcare innovation and process improvement.
