Whilst children develop at their own pace, someexperience challenges and need additional support.This is a RecruitmentPool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term FullTime and Fixed Term Part Time appointments, with the possibility ofextension(s) and/or permanency.About therole:The Child DevelopmentService are seekingsuitably experienced and enthusiasticSpeech Pathologiststo join our team in the roleofSenior Speech Pathologist.In this position, you willplan, coordinate and direct clinical, supervisory and professionalfunctions of the Speech Pathology service at the Child DevelopmentService as well as providing speech pathology services at anadvanced level of practice to assigned caseload.Reporting to the ManagerSpeech Pathology, your key responsibilities willinclude:Provide evidence-basedSpeech Pathology services to clients within assigned caseloadat an advanced level of clinical practice.Actively prioritise andcoordinate own caseload including participating in clinicalreview meetings and case conferences asappropriate.Participate as an activeand senior member of the multidisciplinary team.Participate insupervision, professional development and clinical consultationactivities with the Manager Speech Pathology.Act as a consultant andeducator to speech pathologists, other professionals, familiesand carers in relation to the management of speech pathologyclients.Plan, coordinate anddirect clinical, supervisory, professional and administrativefunctions of the Speech Pathology service.A tertiary qualificationin Speech Pathology and eligibility for full practicing membershipof Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) is a requirement of thisrole.About ChildDevelopment ServiceThe Child DevelopmentService provides multidisciplinary assessment and interventionservices to infant, children and young people with developmentaldelay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and/orthe parent-child relationship.Clinicians adopt a child andfamily-centred approach, working in partnership with families toaddress developmental concerns that are of priority to thefamily.Our teams include ClinicalPsychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, OccupationalTherapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologistsand other allied health professionals.The Child DevelopmentService provides services at approximately 18 locations across themetropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school andcommunity visits as needed.Community basedfacilities providing the opportunity to work close tohomeOpportunity to expandyour knowledge while working within a multi-disciplinaryteamOpportunity for careergrowth within the child and adolescent health sectorFlexible leavearrangements and benefitsProfessional developmentopportunities and study leaveValues based workcultureSalarypackaging including car leasing, superannuation,laptop computers, general living expenses, mortgage and severalother optionsInterested?We encourage you tocontactTrish Robustellini,Manager Speech Pathologyvia email:****** or089279 0100with any specific questions regardingthis role.How toapplyWe welcome your applicationvia the 'Apply for Job' button at the bottom of thispage.
