This key leadership role will be responsible for advancing the physical development of facilities that support education, performance, administration, and student life.Main Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive capital facilities planning strategy aligned with CalArts' academic and administrative goals.Provide expert guidance on the planning and design of all capital projects, including remodels, renovations, and new constructions.Manage the development of a new capital facility master plan and triennial progress reviews and updates.Serve as CalArts' chief design official and building official, maintaining aesthetic standards and regulatory compliance.Collaborate with the Vice President for Facilities Development and Management on construction project management.RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical field.10+ years of experience in capital facilities planning and development.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Proven financial stewardship and project management abilities.Familiarity with safety management in complex organizations.Estimated Salary$120,000 - $160,000 per year
