RWE Clean Energy, LLCTo start as soon as possible, full time, permanentFunctional area: Operations & MaintenanceRemuneration: Non-ExemptAs a Wind Farm Technician II, you will support the operations and maintenance of wind farms to ensure safety and maximize availability.
Responsibilities include executing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair activities, training, safety exercises, and maintaining tools, equipment, and records.
You will provide technical guidance and help uphold the plant's work ethic and culture.Role Responsibilities:Perform operation and maintenance activities safely following established policies and procedures.Conduct acceptance and performance tests on systems and equipment post-maintenance or outages.Assist with wind farm tasks, including turbine maintenance, system troubleshooting, and support for other sites as needed.Maintain adherence to safety standards and company values.Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.Job Requirements and Experiences:High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.Technical degree or certifications (e.g., Journeyman, Master Electrician, Wind Tech Certificate).Unrestricted driver license.Minimum 4 years in power generation/metering, with 2+ years in wind turbines.Wind turbine experience preferred (Vestas, GE, Acciona, Nordex).Military technical experience is a plus.Willing to relocate within 1 hour of the site.Knowledge of tools, safety policies, troubleshooting, electrical/mechanical systems, and circuit drawings.Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and travel as needed.Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and ability to prepare technical presentations.Physical Requirements:Must maintain a personal weight limit of 270 lbs.Ability to climb wind towers daily, open/close hatches, and identify hazards.Balance to work in confined and elevated spaces.Push/pull/lift tools and equipment up to 50 lbs.Pay Range: $67,644 - $91,515 annually in Illinois, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, 401(k), FSA, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid Time Off, Holidays, and incentives.Apply: Use ad code 88526.Questions?
