If you're a professional passionate about innovation and with skills to develop and enhance technological solutions, this opportunity is for you.TasksCreating and productizing services to make available machine learning technologies from our Research team.Applying software development skills, machine learning and data science knowledge to improve our machine learning and record publication capabilities to extract data from historical records.Helping build the future of machine learning tools and services to support the purpose of FamilySearch.Utilizing data science in machine learning to improve overall extraction of information from historical records.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).English proficiency, minimun B2.Solid Java and Python programming skillsCombination of 7 years of software development and machine learning experience.Hands on experience in using software development, data science and machine learning to extract structured information from historical document images. Must have utilized all three – machine learning, data science, and software development.Use of essential Linux data manipulation tools like sed, grep, sort, regexes, etc.Familiarity with common Machine Learning frameworks including TensorFlow and KerasExperience doing analysis on the results of the model processing with Splunk.Experience capturing data in the form of Jason files.BenefitsAt Heinsohn, we're all about taking care of our crew.
