WORK WITH MOB AT CAHSVCID no. 915931We currently have 1.0FTE Permanent Full Time position available.Aboriginality is a genuine occupational requirement of this position under Section 50(d) of the WA Equal Opportunity Act.Position Profile:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Aboriginal Health Liaison Coordinator to provide leadership in delivering culturally appropriate healthcare to Aboriginal clients within our Child Development Service (CDS). This role is essential in ensuring the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and families by building strong relationships with the community and advocating for their needs.As the Aboriginal Health Liaison Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and evaluating Aboriginal health services within the CDS. Your responsibilities will include supervising and mentoring Aboriginal Health Liaison Officers, conducting cultural awareness training for staff, and representing the needs of Aboriginal clients at various levels of the organisation. You will also work closely with the CDS management team to develop and implement strategies to improve Aboriginal child development outcomes.This position requires a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and health issues, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We provide essential assessments, diagnoses, and interventions to infants, children, and young people experiencing developmental challenges.
