DescriptionManage and oversee the daily operations of corporate accounting functions within Retail Convenience Stores.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential job functions include, but are not limited to:Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, general ledger, and retail accounting.Ensure monthly closings are done timely and accurately.Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are done timely and accurately.Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.Prepare, review, and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.Incentives/BenefitsFlexible Work SchedulesExceptional TrainingCompetitive PayCareer Advancement and Development Opportunities401K with a Competitive Company MatchRequirementsQualificationsThe position requirements include, but are not limited to:Work experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager, with 3 or more years' work experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills.Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.Experience with accounting software and databases.Superior data management and data analysis skills.Strong time management and organizational skills.Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy.Strong experience managing and mentoring staff.Strong experience with Full-Cycle accounting.Efficient in PDI or other ERP systems.Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with advanced Excel skills required.Point of Sale Transaction experience a plus.CompetenciesAnalytical acumen and problem-solving skills.
