Successful candidates will join the Supply Chain Management team which is responsible to manage the Preaward contract process (PAC) and Post award contract process (PACM) developing contracting strategies-plans with Category Manager; works with technical teams to develop compensation structures and work scopes; execute sourcing process and negotiations for service contracts. Ensure consistent, optimal contracting processes are in place and in compliance. Use of the SCM tool for contracting and contract management.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Annual contracting plan / contract strategy aligned with business plan and budget; market analysis; identify risk; potential suppliers & award basis.
Initiating a contracting process: Identify leverage opportunities; review scope of work and compensation schedule; perform supplier due diligence: HES / compliance / Information Protection and finance capabilities. Select the contract model aligned with contract strategy.
Sourcing Process: Prepare tender package; Evaluation criteria; issue tender package and manage inquiries; evaluate tender response and negotiate.
Prepare contract, obtain approvals, and execute a contract.
Post Award contract process: Start up contracts, monitor contract (spend, expiration dates, risk mitigation actions, communications), Contract changes Amendment (dates, scope, prices), contract Termination.
Carrie out RFX (request proposal/quotation/information) for a particular material and Issue PO according to internal clients' requirements. Coordinate inspections when required.
Develop BPA (blanket purchase agreements) with strategic contractors.
Achieve saving thru successful negotiations and monitors cost savings on regular basis.
Ensure Stakeholders communication by regular contact meetings, visits, and formal reports on a weekly basis.
Identify and drive toward common policies and best practices to achieve simplicity, lower cost to serve, and support the implementation of technology improvements
Contracting and Procurement activities are split about 50/50.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, Law, or Business Administration.
Must be proficient in English. Written and interpersonal communication skills.
Analytic and Proficient in digital tools (Microsoft software, Power Bi, Power app)
Teamwork and customer service focus (Capacity to provide response to several end users).
Attendance to weekly meetings with end-user groups at Upgrader and other locations as needed.
Take ownership with end-users to ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective delivery of services and materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience in CGT SCM process: sourcing process, unit price analysis and negotiation.
Experience with any SCM system.
SCM Knowledge- Experienced with supply chain practices and understanding of how contracting supports Category Management and Invoice Processing.
Unit price analysis / Cost management
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
