Whilst children develop at their own pace, some experience challenges and need additional support.This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time and Casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.About The RoleThe Child Development Service are seeking friendly, passionate and experienced leaders to join our team in the role of Coordinator Speech Pathology.In this position, you will plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical, supervisory, and professional functions of the Speech Pathology service within the Child Development Service (CDS) and provide Speech Pathology service at an advanced practice level to an assigned caseload.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeFormulate, monitor and evaluate standards of clinical care and speech pathology policies and objectives in liaison with the Manager Speech Pathology according to established standards and policies.Oversee coordination and planning of Speech Pathology waiting lists and caseload allocations according to clinical priorities and resources.Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, consultancy, and guidance to Speech Pathology staff within the CDS.Participate in the recruitment of senior speech pathology staff.Provide speech pathology services at an advanced level of clinical practice to a specified caseload and provides consultation, mentoring and support for all areas of clinical speciality.Actively contribute as a senior member of multi-disciplinary clinical teams.Actively participate in own clinical supervision and performance development.Provide education, training and support to speech pathology staff, students and members of the multidisciplinary team at in the area of specialty.A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) is a requirement of this role.About Child Development ServiceThe Child Development Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention services to infants, children and young people with developmental delay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and/or the parent-child relationship.Clinicians adopt a child and family-centred approach, working in partnership with families to address developmental concerns that are of priority to the family.Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals.The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.Employee BenefitsCommunity based facilities providing the opportunity to work close to homeOpportunity to expand your knowledge while working within a multi-disciplinary teamOpportunity for career growth within the child and adolescent health sectorFlexible leave arrangements and benefitsProfessional development opportunities and study leaveValues based work cultureStaff wellbeing focusSalary packaging including car leasing, superannuation, laptop computers, general living expenses, mortgage and several other optionsInterested?We encourage you to contact Trish Robustellini, Manager Speech Pathology via email: ****** or 08 9279 0100 with any specific questions regarding this role.How To ApplyWe welcome your application via the 'Apply for Job' button at the bottom of this page.
