High English and Spanish speaking/reading/writing proficiency level is required.Responsibilities:The Field Drilling Superintendent will lead the startup of a heavy oil drilling campaign in the EM. The position will oversee the rig pick up, rig certification, as well as the safe and efficient drilling execution of the project. Will be accountable for the delivery of drilling operations according to business plan and aspirational targets for HSE, costs, and cycle time. The field superintendent will ensure that well control and well integrity are maintained at all times and manage any well control operation. Will mentor and provide coaching as well as technical, leadership, and operational guidance to less experienced field personnel from the EM. The superintendent will also liaise with Union representatives and address situations as needed. Typical well challenges include heavy oil remote land rig operations on multi-well pads, loss circulation, hole stability, narrow drilling window, 4,000'+ horizontal laterals, tools and services availability. This is a rotational 28x28 field-based position in Anzoátegui, Venezuela.
