The humanitarian crisis in Venezuela continues to worsen, with approximately 19 million people, 66% of the population, in need of humanitarian assistance. More than 7.7 million Venezuelans have migrated to meet their basic needs, marking an unprecedented migration crisis in Latin America and one of the largest displacement crises worldwide. Colombia, which has received at least 2.9 million Venezuelan refugees and migrants, also faces multiple challenges, leaving some 8.3 million people with significant humanitarian needs. This situation has resulted from a combination of different factors such as armed conflict, climate variability, the latent impact of COVID-19, inflation and institutional limitations to cope with both the internally affected population and the massive arrival of refugees and migrants. IRC, together with a large number of local partners, has responded to this situation by providing services in the areas of health, protection, education and economic recovery and development in Norte de Santander, Valle del Cauca, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, Nariño and Bogotá. In Venezuela, IRC develops its programs through local organizations in the areas of health, education, food security, and protection. General description of the work The Grants Manager is the focal point for reporting and products related to project implementation and visibility of IRC's work in Venezuela and Colombia when necessary, these documents are presented in English and Spanish to donors; the role is responsible for grants information management and capacity building efforts in grants management. He/She supports programmatic and budget monitoring, compliance with donor and IRC internal rules and regulations. The Grants Manager also supports proposal development and may be involved in the management and implementation of IRC's partnership work for response activities. The Grants Manager will work closely with country program teams and will report to the Senior Grants Coordinator. Main responsibilities: •Submit high quality narrative and financial reports in accordance with IRC and donor regulations. Ensure that required documents are included, complete, correct and approved by strategic focal points. •Support the development of high quality proposals and budgets that are relevant to the IRC Strategic Action Plan and include input from key partners (finance, operations, programs, partners, etc.). •Maintain knowledge of grant agreement language and regulations, serving as a knowledgeable resource regarding assigned donors and raising questions as needed. •Lead grant management and project cycle meetings (design, opening, implementation, Budget vs. Actual (BVA), closeout and learning) to identify and help resolve needs, constraints and other project cycle issues. •Work with grant counterparts at headquarters and regional levels to ensure coordination and compliance with deadlines and proposal requirements. •Keep supervisor informed of any unforeseen events to meet contractual obligations, reporting rates and significant budget variances. Be able to actively mitigate risks by proposing corrective solutions in consensus with department heads. •Conduct key grant management, program development, monitoring and evaluation, communications, and external relations and partnership activities as needed. •Conduct analysis and mapping of new funding opportunities at the local level to keep Program Management up to date. •Maintain relationships with grant focal points of other donors or organizations at the local level to generate grant opportunities or collaborations that allow for greater positioning of the IRC in the country. •When assigned, represent IRC in advocacy spaces that strengthen the organization's business development strategy. Job requirements: Education: •University degree with an additional two years of specific grant management experience. •Professional English level (C1) Preferred experience and skills: •At least two years of experience working on projects and/or grant management, development/design of commercial proposals in various contexts. •Extensive understanding and knowledge of donor regulations and standards such as US government (USAID/BHA/BPRM/), European (ECHO, EU, SIDA, GFFO, GIZ), FCDO, UN (UNHCR/UNFPA/UNDP/OCHA/WFP/FAO) and others. •Demonstrated proficiency in coordination, proposal design, program monitoring and evaluation, and budgeting using MS Excel. •Excellent writing skills and experience in writing proposals/concept notes. •Excellent organizational skills and ability to determine priorities and meet multiple deadlines. •Attention to detail, with the ability to respond to multiple simultaneous tasks and communication skills, both oral and written. •Able to work well both in a team and independently, in a challenging and fast-paced multicultural environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
