JOB TITLE: Human Resources Representative FLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptREPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager The following description is not intended as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. Management retains the discretion of adding or changing the duties of the position at any time.SUMMARYHandles and maintains human resource policies and procedures as outlined, provides support in all functional areas of the human resource department as it pertains to the business. Collects and analyzes HR data to ensure integrity; exercises tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential personnel issues and employee situations.JOB FUNCTIONS:Recruits, interviews, creates and runs ads, tests, selects and recommends employees to fill vacant positions and coordinates Job Fairs on site.Initiates background checks and drug screens.Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude towards company goals.Assists in the administration of leaves of absences and communicates with Corporate Human Resources.Coordinates with Corporate Human Resources and carries out specified programs in such areas as employee recognition and employee relations.Understands, applies and explains applicable rules and regulations.Maintains working knowledge of federal, state and local laws.Brings inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management.Performs special projects and other human resources responsibilities as assigned in conjunction with Corporate Human Resources.Heads up the Safety Committee for Indiana facility and conducts regular safety inspections, communicating outcomes with Corporate Human Resources.Handles all employee relations issues for the Regent facility working in conjunction with the Human Resources Manager.JOB REQUIREMENTSAbility to work well with others and possess problem solving and team building skills. Possess basic counseling and negotiation skills. Be an effective listener and have good verbal communications skills. Experience interviewing candidates. Possess excellent time and stress management skills. Be proficient in computer software including word processing programs and spreadsheets.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING:High School Diploma, college courses preferred.DIRECTLY RELATED JOB EXPERIENCETwo (2) years in manufacturing and/or aerospace.Two to Three (2 to 3) years Human Resources experience required.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:Knowledge of human resource procedures.Excellent computer (Excel, and Word) skills.Exceptional problem solving abilities and good organizational skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal and company business.Excellent interpersonal skills.Must possess excellent written and communication skills.Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.Strong desire to excel.Proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.Confidentiality.Bi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus.PHYSICAL MOTIONMust be able to sit at a computer for long periods of time; walking and standing are required occasionally, exerting up to 10 pounds and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.VISUAL DEMANDSDepth perceptionMENTAL PROCESSES:Reasoning, Remembering, Decision-makingPlanning, Combining information, AnalyzingAdvising, Instructing, WritingInitiative, Imagination, CreativityProblem Solving, Using Mathematics, ComposingJudgment, Using Program LogicWORK ENVIRONMENTInside work, some manufacturing plant environment
