Chevron Global Technology Services (CGLOBTECH), located in Barcelona, Edo. Anzoátegui, Venezuela, is accepting online applications for the position of Procurement Specialist within the Midstream and Downstream Category through October 15th at 11:59 PM.
The position manages the procurement process which includes vendor selection (sourcing), purchasing, and order management (tracking and expediting) that results in timely delivery of equipment and materials at the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Coordinates transportation and logistics of goods. Promotes process standardization, compliance, and maximized use of Chevron's preferred suppliers.
This position supports materials procurement through development, improvement, and implementation of procurement practices and will also provide Business Analyst support to the Category team. Areas of support include Pre-award contract process (PAC) and Post-award contract process (PACM). Must be capable of handling a diverse workload and multiple tasks with accuracy under minimal supervision. Responsible for conducting various forms of analysis - including spend, market, business, financial, and supplier analysis. Develops or assists in the development of Annual Contracting and Procurement Plan (ACPP) documents, business cases, and other presentations with emphasis on clear and professional presentation and interpretation of data gathered. Supports SCM team through benchmarking, cost management, alternative sourcing, and supply chain management research.
Responsibilities:
Carrie out RPX (request proposal/quotation/information) for a particular material.
Issue PO according to internal clients' requirements.
Properly manage stock material request by ensuring no stock out.
Develop negotiation strategies and synergies opportunities.
Assure the right materials arrive on time.
Track PO to accomplish on-time delivery (OTD).
Coordinate inspections when required.
Develop BPA (blanket purchase agreements) with strategic contractors.
Achieve savings through successful negotiations.
Develop annual Category Contracting Plan and annual cost improvement targets; identifies opportunities through joint meetings with stakeholders and key suppliers.
Monitor cost savings on a regular basis.
Ensure Stakeholders communication by regular contact meetings, visits, and formal reports on a monthly basis.
Identify and drive toward common policies and best practices to achieve simplicity, lower cost to serve, and support the implementation of technology improvements.
Compliance: Support obtaining information from suppliers for due diligence: HES / compliance / Information Protection and finance capabilities. Provides STARS process guidance and support.
Maintain records of Partner, and CRC approvals. Periodically check the files kept by the Information Centers and assist in any audits for compliance.
Leverage productivity tools like MS Teams, Power Apps, Power BI to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Engineering or related field Degree.
Must be proficient in English. Written and interpersonal communication skills.
Teamwork and customer service focus (Capacity to provide timely response to several end users).
Experience with any SCM ERP system.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in procurement of materials and equipment.
SCM Knowledge - Experienced with supply chain practices.
Unit price analysis / Cost management.
Analytic and proficient in digital tools (Microsoft software, Power BI, Power Apps).
