946866Position Profile: We are seeking suitably experienced Registered Nurses to join our Community Health team.The Registered Nurse is responsible for the promotion of health and wellbeing of children using a high standard of nursing practice using the scope of practice decision making framework.
Successful candidates will provide an immunisation service as per the National Immunisation Program and WA Immunisation Schedule.
Your key responsibilities will be:Accountable for the delivery of safe competent standards of nursing practice as per Child and Adolescent Health Service and Community Health Service policies, standards and clinical protocols and Nursing and Midwifery Board Professional Codes and Guidelines.Responsible for providing evidenced-based Immunisation services for children and adolescents.Recognise actual and potential adverse events.Complete nursing documentation as per health service standards and policies.Assess the holistic needs of individuals, families and population groups guided by the primary health care principles and social determinants of health and develops, implements and evaluates goal-focused health care plans including referrals to other services where appropriate.The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State's only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people.
CAHS is made up of four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).
