Chemron Venezuela has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Petropiar NOJV Upstream division in El Tigre, Edo. Anzoátegui through October 29 at 11:59 p.m. The Electrical Engineer reports to the Facilities Engineering Manager. This job requires working in an Empresa Mixta and involves daily interaction with PDVSA management and leadership of Joint Venture.
As an Electrical Engineer, the candidate will be an integral part of the Facilities Project team, responsible for overseeing and managing engineering projects from conception through completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, and clients, to ensure proper design, planning, and overseeing electrical systems and components for GPP projects. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional proficiency in electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage electrical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Design and develop electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, including Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) protocols.
Prepare and review electrical technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. Develop SOW, BOM, technical specifications, and data sheets.
Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to define electrical project scope, objectives, and deliverables, providing technical guidance and support to project team members.
Coordinate with the procurement team to source electrical components and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets. Evaluate and select appropriate electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems for production facilities and COB dehydration plant.
Provide technical support to electrical services, ensuring that the technical integrity of electrical facilities at COB and in the field is protected by managing electrical equipment and systems in accordance with safety case commitments and performance standards.
Supervise electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities on-site to ensure the successful integration of electrical systems.
Perform hazard and risk assessments related to electrical systems and implement safety measures accordingly.
Maintain accurate project records, technical documentation, and as-built drawings.
Manage project budgets and cost estimates related to electrical engineering activities.
Reinforce health, environment, and safety requirements in support of Operational Excellence in all aspects of the operations consistent with Chevron Safety Management Systems.
