938983Position Profile: We are seeking suitably experienced and enthusiastic persons to join our Clinical Nursing Policy team.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Portfolio and Policy Officer, you will be responsible for the community health portfolio within the Child and Adolescent Health Service - Community Health (CACH).
You will lead the development, implementation, and review of state-wide clinical nursing policy, resources, forms, and programs that support the delivery of quality, evidence-based community health services to children and their carers from birth to 18 years, through inclusive and collaborative processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:Provide leadership for community health clinical nursing policy working in partnership with WA Country Health Service.Develop, implement, and evaluate policy, resources, and forms to support the delivery of community health services to children, adolescents, and their carers from birth to 18 years to achieve government and health system objectives.Initiate and undertake examination of matters relevant to child and adolescent health in Western Australia, as required for the development of policy and program strategies.Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of State and national child and maternal health policies and program strategies.Maintain an expert awareness of national and international trends and issues relating to the health of the target population, with particular reference to groups experiencing adverse factors and circumstances, including Aboriginal peoples.Review and monitor new and existing policies, programs, and practices in the area of community health for compliance with and achievement of government and health service objectives.The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State's only dedicated health service for infants, children, and young people.
CAHS is made up of four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).
