Chevron Venezuela is accepting online applications for the position Senior Process Engineer (Delayed Coker) through September 6 at 11:59 p.m. Develops and optimizes systems in complex operating facilities for separation, purification, transformation, transportation, and sale/disposition of hydrocarbons, water, and contaminants. Focuses on the interaction of fluids with equipment in meeting required compositional specifications, physical conditions, and flow rates. Supports larger customers/clients and may lead functional projects under infrequent supervision. Developing a detailed knowledge of the work function.

Qualifications

Process Engineer with high expertise in several complex processes.
At least 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas, with skills in simulation, design, rule of thumbs, and one complex process such as Delayed Coker.
Preferable but optional skills in strategic planning and commercial processes, economic evaluations, and financial reporting & evaluations.

Desirable Experience

Experience as a process engineer in Upstream and Downstream facilities including dehydration, crude desalting, transportation, tank farm, flare systems, slop oil management, atmospheric and vacuum distillation, and hydroprocessing.
Knowledge in Process Safety Management is preferred, which would include participation in HAZOPs, HAZOPs LOPA, or some Risk Analysis methodology.
