This key role will oversee the development of our campus facilities, ensuring they meet our academic and administrative goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:Campus Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive capital facilities planning strategy that supports our academic growth and administrative objectives.Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance on the planning and design of all capital projects, including remodels, renovations, and new constructions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and agency codes.Maintenance and Compliance: Serve as CalArts' chief design official and building official, overseeing maintenance activities, aesthetic standards, and regulatory compliance.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Vice President for Facilities Development and Management (VPFDM), on construction project management, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will require:Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical field.At least 10 years of experience in capital facilities planning and development.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.A proven track record of financial stewardship and project management expertise.A working knowledge of facilities and familiarity with safety management in a complex organization.What We OfferIn return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
