Job DescriptionProviding a welfare service to Fiona Stanley Hospital patients which includes assessment and practical assistance with housing, financial benefits, travel, etc. Liaises with government agencies and other service providers, and maintains up to date resources that assist patients to access community services. Works with the inter-disciplinary team in providing a comprehensive social welfare service for patients. Assists Allied Health with the provision of therapy programs including groups and individual treatments, and performs related activities under the therapists' direction. Specifically, this role provides Allied Health Assistant services to patients in the clinical specialty area of Mental Health.This is a recruitment pool for permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time, and fixed term part time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2025.Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service.
