This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at 45.6 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE), with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.VCID No. 915983Position Profile: The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service are seeking experienced Speech Pathologists to join our Pathways team.As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will provide specialist communication and language-learning assessment and intervention for children with severe and complex mental health difficulties and their families in a classroom and community setting.Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:Undertake a specialised clinical caseload involving the assessment, diagnosis and management of language-learning and communication disorders in children and adolescents with emotional/behavioural/social disorders.Act as a consultant regarding communication and language-learning disorders in child and adolescent mental health.Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and provide specific input regarding communication and language-learning disorders.Liaise with professional staff and external agencies on client management and professional issues.Develop Speech Pathology programs and resources for children within Pathways.In collaboration with the Program Manager, be responsible for the development, coordination and maintenance of standards and procedures for delivery of Speech Pathology services at Pathways.The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State's only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS is made up of four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).
